This is where that messing around with trying to do something more ‘Tonalist’ pays off in my regular pursuits.

The clouds in the sky are so soft and feather-like. Perhaps not strictly like something you’d really see but I think it’s like something you feel you’d experience. That’s where it should be. The feeling is more important to me than the accurate representation of the time.

Personally, I’d think if you’d like accurate, that’s why there’s photography, but painting is where, at least for me, an artist can insert emotion.

I hope that I can keep this sort of work going for a while, I really like this one.
